About Us

Institute of Social Development (ISD) is a registered Indian social organization established under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 on 18th August 2005 in Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. Since its inception, ISD has been committed to driving sustainable and inclusive development by working at the grassroots level with underserved and marginalized communities.
ISD acts as a catalyst in remote and rural areas where access to government services remains limited and communities continue to face challenges related to healthcare, livelihoods, drinking water, and sanitation. Through its integrated approach, the organization focuses on improving maternal and child health, environmental awareness, water resource management, and women empowerment.
The organization also plays a key role in strengthening rural livelihoods by providing knowledge and technical support to farmers for producing healthy, nutritious, and high-yield agricultural products. ISD promotes Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and encourages traditional and sustainable livelihood practices to enhance income generation and community resilience. With a strong foundation of experienced professionals and sector experts, ISD ensures effective implementation of programs through community participation, capacity building, and evidence-based planning. The organization is committed to transparency, accountability, and delivering measurable impact across all its interventions.
